The Wild, Wild West and this Turquoise Ring

My cousin-in-law is a cowgirl from the top of her pink felt cowboy hat to the tips of her pink leather western boots. She grew up out west and has always been close to nature and animals. Then she met my cousin and moved off the ranch. And sure, these days the closest she gets to a real cow is the sign above the dairy aisle at the grocery store, but the dust and heat of her childhood on the ranch are never far from her heart.

That’s right. My distinguished partner is a vacuum cleaner and we’re sucking up dust from one end of this "ballroom" to the other. Is it a clichÈ to clean the house while wearing pearls? Of course it is. But it’s also a lot of fun. And this way I am already dressed and set to go out for a night of dinner and dancing just as soon as I’ve taken Mr. Electrolux here for one last spin around this dance floor

A Distinctive Diamond Necklace

There are a few essentials that any lady’s jewelry box must contain: a simple pearl choker, a pair of diamond stud earrings, 34 cents in assorted loose change, and a random chartreuse button.

The Dramatic Crystal Quartz Ring

When some people think of quartz jewelry, they think of healing powers and the alignment of the earth, and harmonics, and probably something to do with Stonehenge, with some druids thrown into the mix just for kicks.

Now if I’m wearing a piece and it magically makes my tweaked neck feel better, well that’s great. And kind of spooky. But mainly what I’m looking for in a necklace is how well it goes with my outfit and frames my face.
